Sweden Delegation visiting in Somaliland
On April 19, The Swedish delegation led by Sweden Ambassador to Somalia Andreas von Uexküll arrives in Somaliland and met with President Muse Bihi Abdi at the presidential palace.
The meeting between Somaliland president and Swedish ambassador, Discussed on strengthening the relationship between Two countries and Collaboration on many fronts. Regional stability, empowerment of women, reconciliation, economic development, etc.
The meeting also discussed by a number of new projects that Swedish government implemented in Somaliland to address the challenges facing Somaliland women and youth in terms of investment and encouragement.

The delegation also met with Somaliland members of parliament and National electoral commission.
Meanwhile, Ambassador Andreas von Uexküll attends the launch ceremony of the new financial instrument by local banks, The programme was launched on April 18 with Dahabshiil Bank International as the leading partner.

The partnership with the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida) will empower citizens through entrepreneurship.
This is the first time a foreign agency is engaging in such a project in Somali which is recovering from years of turmoil.
Other partners are Premier Bank and International Bank of Somalia.

President Bihi thanked Ambassador David Concar and his delegation for the significant role played by the UK in the development of Somaliland and the support of the various parties.
The UK delegation also met with Somaliland foreign minister Dr.Saad Ali Shire discussed Somaliland’s challenges, opportunities and regional political developments.

Today’s UK ambassador David Concar accompanied by Rosie Tapper Head of the British Office in Hargeisa visits in university of Hargeisa.
The University Of Hargeisa introduced the delegates to the University’s accomplishments and progress over the years, how much was done in such a short period of time and how it will continue to grow.
Mr David Concar stated that he is impressed with the University Of Hargeisa and its accomplishments so far.
