Horndiplomat-The Government of Somaliland supports Coalitions led by Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates, that formally say they are severing diplomatic relations with Qatar.
The government of Somaliland released press statement that stated Somaliland stand with Saudi- led coalition that against Qatar and also Somaliland not allows the airlines without permission to their Airspace.
The Somaliland Foreign Minister Dr.Sa’ad Ali Shire speaks the local media at Somaliland Presidency Says “the government republic of Somaliland unanimously supported Saudi Arabia and UAE decision to Qatar.”
Other side at least 15 Qatar Airways flights have used Somaliland and Somalia airspace since Saudi Arabia and other Arab nations moved to sever links with the Gulf nation the Somaliland government also speaks that Qatars airways flights .
Minister Sa’ad Says “As from today any airlines without permission from Republic of Somaliland not be used Somaliland Airspace.”
On Monday last week , Somalia civil aviation authorities reported increased Qatar Airways traffic over Somali airspace, according to the Associated Press. At least 15 flights were diverted to use the airspace, an increase from one or two flights a day previously.
Meanwhile The Somaliland’s Foreign Minister commented to that statement of Qatar’s Airline flights and also sents message to Somalia government says ”Somaliland not part of Somalia’s Federal states , its sovereign state and has all the rights to control its air, sea and land borders. the Somalia’s government can not grant permission to Airspace of the republic of Somaliland.’’said Dr.Sa’ad ali shire
The dispute between Qatar and the Gulf’s Arab countries escalated after a recent hack of Qatar’s state-run news agency. It has spiralled since.
Following the hacking on Tuesday last week, comments falsely attributed to Qatar’s emir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, were broadcast in Qatar.7
