Horndiplomat-Somalia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs says UN envoy to the country Nicholas Haysom “not welcome and cannot operate ” in the country. The Ministry accused him of “violating protocols” and “deliberately interfering” in Somalia affairs.

The move by the Somali government followed after Mr Nicholas Haysom asked the government about whether UN-supported forces were involved in the shooting of demonstrators in Baidoa last month. Haysom also asked about the govt’s legal basis for arresting Mukhtar Robow.
