Somalia President Hassan Sheikh Mohamoud on Sunday made his first visit abroad since assuming office last month to the United Arab Emirates, after receiving an official invitation from his counterpart Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed.
The two-day work visit will focus on strengthening the brotherly ties between the two countries, according to the presidential statement.
“During his stay, the President of the Republic will hold talks with United Arab Emirates leaders, discussing a range of issues including facilitating transportation, business, and collaboration,” it added.
However, this is the first abroad trip by the Head of State since his re-election on 15 May. Somalia and the United Arab Emirates enjoy a mutual relationship. Somalis are the largest African community in the Dubai with a booming business
