Somaliland and Taiwan Discuss cooperation in higher education

Somaliland minister of education Ahmed Mohamed Dirie “Toorno” met and held discussions with Lou Chen-hwa Taiwan representative to Somaliland.
During the meeting, The two sides discussed bilateral cooperation pertaining to the educational programs between the two countries.
Taiwan and Somaliland officially cemented their diplomatic ties with appointment of representatives in both countries.

Somaliland president Muse Bihi appointed Mohamed Hagi to head the country’s embassy in Taiwan capital Taipei as Taiwan named Lou Chen-hwa as its representative in Hargeisa.
On July 1, Taiwan Foreign Minister Joseph Wu announced that the governments of Taiwan and  Somaliland had “agreed that the establishment of representative offices will best serve the interests of one another.”
