President Sahle-Work Zewde yesterday received Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar.
At the outset of the meeting, Sheikh Mohamed conveyed the greetings of Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani to the President and his wishes for the Ethiopian people more progress and development.
For her part, the Ethiopia president reciprocated her greetings to the Amir, wishing him good health and happiness and the Qatari people further development and prosperity.
During the meeting, they reviewed bilateral relations and prospects of enhancing them, according to the Gulf Times.
Meanwhile, The Qatari delegation led by Sheikh Mohamed also met Ethiopian Prime Minister Dr Abiy Ahmed yesterday.
The two continued their discussions on key areas of bilateral cooperation that had commenced during Prime Minister Abiy’s visit to Qatar in March 2019.
Sheikh Mohammed expressed readiness to begin realizing some of the investment initiatives agreed upon previously, particularly in hotels, sugar factory, tourism sector development and construction of a new kidney treatment hospital.
