The government of Sweden has appointed Staffan Tillander as Sweden’s Ambassador to Somalia.
Staffan Tillander is currently Head of the Swedish embassy in Abuja.
Staffan has previously served Swedish ambassador to Ethiopia, Brazil and The director of rule of law and security institutions Group (ROLSIG) at the United nations assistance mission in Somalia (UNSOM). He replaces Andreas von Uexküll in Somalia.
The New Ambassador will take up his duties in early September 2019.
