Ethiopia has been awarded by the Secretariat of the African Union commission for hosting the largest number of refugees in Africa.
The award was given to the Deputy Ambassador of Ethiopian Embassy to the Arab Republic of Egypt H.E Merwan Bedri on the 27th of April 2019 during the 64th ordinary session of the commission which took place in Sharma El Sheikh Egypt.
Ethiopia is the second country to host the largest number of refugees in Africa next to Uganda.
