Horndiplomat-Somalia’s President Mohammed Abdullahi Mohammed(Farmajo) arrives in Asmara at midday today for a three-day official visit to a tumultuous welcome by the Government and people of Eritrea.
The Somali President Mohammed Abdilahi Mohammed is accompanied by Ministers of Information, Culture &Tourism; Transport; Construction; & State Minister at Foreign Ministry. Both leaders have already held a Summit. President Mohammed will visit development sites during his brief sojourn in Eritrea, Said Eritrea’s information minister, Yemane Meskel.
According to a statement released by the office of Somalia’s President said President will meet with his counterpart Isaias Afwerki during his stay in Asmara, and discuss bilateral relations.
Farmajo will be the second East African leader to pay a visit to Eritrea since Asmara and Addis Ababa agreed to bury the hatchet and restored their diplomatic ties.
