This was stated by the Turkey’s deputy prime minister Hakan Cavusglu during a meeting with Somalia president Mohamed Abdilahi Farmajo in Mogadishu.

According to Geeska Afrika Newspaper sources close to Villa Somalia, the Turkish official was emphatic that authorities in Ankara view the talk’s development as spite in the face Turkey has been hosting the international sanctioned talks for a number of years but its partiality towards the position of Somalia led

Somaliland to seek alternate venues.

The source within villa Somalia further informs that President Farmajo was at pains in soothing the Turks telling them that “The changes were occasioned by Somaliland president Musa Behi Abdi.”

President Farmajo also took the opportunity to thank the people and government of Turkey for continued support, our source reports.

Following agreement between the two countries Presidents Behi and Farmajo shall meet in Djibouti this month of March to set the stage for talk’s resumption.
