Somaliland President warns lifted arms embargo in Somalia

Horndiplomat-The President Republic of Somaliland H.E Ahmed Mohamed Mohamoud Silanyo warns the international Community plans lifted arms embargo in Somalia, The Somaliland’s Leader said for his national speech to the people in 18 may that the national day of this nation when they declared regaining independence from Somali republic in 18may 1991.

The Somaliland President Warns the disastrous for that lifted arms embargo in Somali people and Whole of the region in Horn of Africa.

The president says “Today’s not exist Greater Somalia,every Somali people from every where they managed their own future , if international community lifted  arms embargo in Somalia , it’s a big threat for the security and also created violence and instability in the region Horn of Africa  ”

Last Week the London conference the Somalia’s president called for an end to the arms embargo on his long-chaotic country, saying that if the military doesn’t have more sophisticated equipment in the fight against the al-Shabab extremist group, “definitely this war will continue for another 10 years.”

President Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed has repeatedly vowed to defeat al-Shabab within two years. He spoke to reporters at the end of a high-level conference to address the Horn of Africa nation’s deepening humanitarian and security crisis.

Meanwhile the President of Somaliland strongly warned for that Plans to lifting Somalia Arms embargo and also the president condemned to create new war between Somali people’s in Horn of Africa.

“I strongly warn to create new trauma or war with Somali’s People that been causing consequences that never be recovering ”

The president of Somaliland has also called upon international community to respect the aspiration of the people of Somaliland who had opted to re-assert their independence way back in 1991.

” Iam callling to EU,US,UK,AU,Arab League, and the IGAD organisation to respect somaliland’s restoration of independence and the desire of its citizens’’Said President Silanyo

after 26 years letter the Somaliland’s not recognised state,its Declared regaining independence from Somali republic on May 18, 1991, with a population of about 4 million, can boast of an army, its own currency and legal system and is appreciated for holding credible elections.
