Ethiopian Foreign Minister Dr. Workneh Gebeyehu strikes an in-depth dialogue with several CEOs of Italian companies in Rome. (January 21)
The core aim of this discussion was to stimulate and exchange views with Italian companies for investment opportunities in Ethiopia, an overview of the nuts and bolts to invest in a myriad of sectors such as textile, industrial parks, pharmaceuticals Agro-industry and agriculture.
The event was attended by CEO of Carvico group currently investing $100 million USD at Kombolcha Industrial park. Foreign Minister Dr. Workneh briefed the delegation on Ethiopia’s sound investment policy and investment climate.
Italy’s Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte, who paid a two day visit to Ethiopia in 2018 has provided a $25M grant and loan to Ethiopia.
Italy and Ethiopia have over 100 years of diplomatic relations.according to Ethiopian government
