The government of Somaliland has not commented on the arrest of the Poet. Sources confirmed to Horndiplomat that poet Abdirahman Abees who read his poems last night in Hargeisahas reportedly been arrested in relation to the poems the government considers to be critical of the political situation.
Somaliland Human Rights Centre Condemned the arrest of poet Abdirahman Ibraahim Abees, and call on the government to release him.
