On Wednesday, Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar arrives in Mogadishu, the Deputy Prime Minister Mahdi M Guled receives the delegation at the airport.
The defense minister is accompanied by the Chief of the Turkish Army, Chief of Staff and the head officials of TIKA.
After meeting with the Turkish delegation, the Somali Prime Minister posted on his Twitter said.
“I’m glad to welcome Turkish Minister of Defence Hulusi Akar, a close friend of Somalia; heartening to hear him repeat Turkey’s firm commitment to stand by Somalia not only through the good times but also the tough times.”Said Somalia Prime Minister Hassan Ali Khaire
Turkey has played a key role in the rebuilding of the armed forces in Mogadishu as a base for training high-level military forces, including officers, officials, and co-operation between the two countries.
