Eritrea affirmed its unflinching solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
Eritrea said it backs Saudi Arabia in its row with Canada and condemns in the strongest terms possible the irresponsible, provocative and audacious statement issued by the Canadian Government against the Kingdom to advance certain political agendas.
A press statement that was released yesterday (9) by the Information Ministry, calls the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to take every measure it deemed necessary to protect its sovereignty.
“The Government of Eritrea calls on the Saudi Government to take appropriate measures both for the sake of its sovereignty as well as to ensure respect of international law,” reads the Eritrean government press release.
Eritrea always supports the sovereignty of states and strictly adhere to the principle of peace, non-aggression, good neighbourliness, non-interference in the internal affairs of states, non-intervention, and respect for territorial integrity.
These principles are applied uniformly with neighbours and others alike.
With that, Eritrea stands by Saudi Arabia in protecting its sovereignty as a matter of principle and based on the historic and brotherly relations that exist between the two countries.
