Somaliland President Meets with High level delegation from The Czech Republic

Horndiplomat- The president of the Republic of Somaliland, Muse Bihi Abdi receives a large delegation from the Czech Republic, led by the Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry Mr Vladimir Bartl.

The President, accompanied by the meeting, Vice President Abdirahman Abdilahi Ismail, minister of foreign affairs Dr.Saad Ali, Somaliland ambassadors of the African Union and Ethiopia Abdilahi Mohamed Duale and Ahmed Hasan Egal.

The meeting discussed issues related to Somaliland’s achievements over the past 27 years and Somaliland’s readiness to cooperate with the international community.

the President of the Republic of Somaliland, Muse Bihi Abdi, gave a briefing on the various levels of Somaliland’s achievements, the achievements made of democracy and elections and also thanks to the Czech delegation of their visit to Somaliland.

President Bihi also assured members of the delegation that they are welcomed to collaborate in the areas of development, politics and friendship.

The Czech delegation has expressed its gratitude to the President for their warm welcome and ready to work in Somaliland to implement projects in the fields of economics and education, and their business contacts with their counterparts in Somaliland.

On Feb 5, 2017, A high powered delegation from the Czech Republic visits in Hargeisa the first ever to Somaliland by the Central European nation.
The delegation composed of senior Czech Republic officials, business and humanitarian organization’s leaders visits Somaliland to establish diplomatic and trade relations.

Somaliland declared its independence nearly three decades ago from Somalia, but despite having its own currency, parliament, military and legal system The territory has been experiencing stability and economic prosperity and has been influential in the fight against piracy and terrorism in the Horn of Africa.
