Khartoum, Mar 30 (Prensa Latina) The Government of Sudan announced that an economic coalition will be created among the countries of the Horn of Africa during a summit of its member countries on April 12th. The summit will be held in this capital city and attended by heads of State or Government from Sudan, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Djibouti and Somalia, said Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Mohamed Abdulla Idriss.

 

The coalition of the Horn of Africa seeks to achieve economic integration and association amid these countries on investment and trade, while sharing information and experiences.

A committee for the coordination of the coalition is already in charge of preparing the summit of the Horn of Africa, following an initiative of Sudan.

Omar Al-Beshir, minister of State for the Presidency and director of the cabinets of the country’s president, chaired a preparatory meeting today on the summit, which will follow meetings of experts on April 9th and 10th, and a meeting of Ministers of Foreign Affairs on April 11th.
