Somaliland Foreign Minister Dr.Saad Ali shire Speaking at a conference in London to mark the 26th anniversary of Somaliland’s contested declaration of independence,

Horndiplomat-The President of Somaliland Muse Bihi Abdi is scheduled to meet with Somalia president Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo in Djibouti for the resumption of Somalia-Somaliland talks.

Meanwhile, today’s The Somaliland Foreign Minister Dr Sa’ad Ali Shire officially announced the talks between Somaliland and Somalia delayed for a month due to the current issues.

The minister said the current situation is not possible to enter into that talks between Somaliland and Somalia.

The talks began dates back to early 2012 when the London Conference on Somalia, held at Lancaster House on 23 February resulted in a communiqué. This document raised ‘the need for the international community to support any dialogue that Somaliland and Somalia’ may concur to define their future collaboration.

The Somaliland-Somalia talks collapsed several times after the two sides tabled hard conditions.
