Horndipomat-The President of Somaliland Muse Bihi Abdi is scheduled to meet with Somalia president Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo ahead the resumption of Somalia-Somaliland talks.
Speaking at press conference on Saturday in Hargeisa, Somaliland foreign minister, Sa’ad Ali Shire said the leaders will hold a meeting in Djibouti to pave the way for further discussions between the two sides.
Mr. Shire noted that the talks between the leaders are aimed at devising dialogue channels and keeping them open to work out between the two parties.
He indicated that the environment created between the two sides was conducive enough to encourage further talks.
“We see no obstacles in the continuation of the negotiations between Somalia and Somaliland,” he said.
The Somalia-Somaliland talks collapsed several times after the two sides tabled hard conditions.
