The director of Daryeel Hospital, which is the largest in Buhoodle region, Dr. Abdirahman Ali Muse has declared that they have contained the fatal acute watery diarrhea which recently hit the area.

Buhoodle is one of the places that registered highest mortality in the country as a result of the affliction.

The physician however warned that there are still other water-borne diseases which are prevalent in the area.

He especially warned of the seasonal diarrhoea which struck patients during the seasonal rainfalls hence asked the residents to treat the water.

He said that the remaining two dozen in-patients in the hospital who have recovered from the fatal acute water diarrhoea were expected to be discharged by today.
