Addis Ababa, April 11, 2017 (FBC) –Ethiopia has become full member of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Trainer Plus.
This will allow the country to earn more foreign currency by providing international trainings, Teshale Bekele, training center director at the Ethiopian Civil Aviation Authority told ENA yesterday.
The center is currently providing training for 20 Djibouti nationals. It also provided training in air traffic control for nationals of Somaliland last year.
In a related development the ICAO Global Aviation Training and TRAINAIR PLUS Symposium will be opened in Ethiopia today with the theme, “Together, Enhancing Training to Build Capacity”
The symposium, which will be held from April 11-13, is expected to attract 400-500 participants, including transport ministers, ambassadors, civil aviation and airport authorities, civil aviation officials, aircraft manufacturers, airline and airport operators, industry policy makers, and tourism experts.
