Horndiplomat-The Somaliland’s Council of Ministers has approved the budget for the year 2017 today during their weekly Council of Ministers’ meeting. The Minister of Finance Ms.Zamzam abdi aden , presented the draft budget on Thursday in council’s weekly meeting chaired by President Ahmed Mohamed Mohamoud Silanyo Accompained by the Vice President Abdirahman Abdilahi saili.
The all ministers approved without vote abstention a budget worth $ 362M thus facilitating the finance ministry to present it to the House of Representatives, the country’s lower chamber of parliament for either approval or rejection as per the constitution.
The 2017 budget 27.5% increase in previous fiscal budget of Somaliland.
