Hordiplomat-West Ham United are close to agreeing a deal to sign Swansea City star Andre Ayew, despite reported interest from Liverpool and Chelsea. The striker, who impressed last season for the Swans, scoring 12 goals as they rallied to avoid relegation in the second half of the campaign, had been strongly linked with Liverpool and Chelsea in recent weeks.

However, the Sun and Daily Star are now reporting that West Ham are closing in on a deal to sign the 26-year-old, who they were understood to be previously interested in last summer, before he joined the Swans.

But it will come at a cost, with Swansea City chairman Huw Jenkins said to want £16m for Ayew, while reports suggest that the Hammers could offer the Ghanaian up to £75,000 a week.
